High five novella series

Santa’s Coming | Cupid’s Shot | Shamrock Kisses | Run Little Bunny | Falling for Red | Halloween TBD

Part 1:
Dating in your thirties is different.

From divorce and raising children, to relocating and calling off a wedding, dating in your thirties is different.

The steamy and romantic High Five Novella series follows three friends as they navigate love and life's challenges in their hometown of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. While each holiday-themed novella can be enjoyed as a standalone, reading them in order is recommended for the full experience.

  • Book #1: Santa's Coming: Emily, a single mother, finds herself enchanted by a charismatic man playing Santa in a local bar.

  • Book #2: Cupid’s Shot: Sarah, a West Coast girl reacclimating to small-town life, discovers the thrill of seeing an old friend in a new light—shirtless and wearing angel wings.

  • Book #3: Shamrock Kisses: Rachel, who’s sworn off dating apps, unexpectedly connects with a Chicago guy in town for the weekend.

What about happy endings?

These are novellas, so each one ends with a "happy for now" conclusion. If the series does well, I'd love to expand each story into a full-length novel.

Book #1: Santa’s Coming

I sat on Santa’s lap, and now he wants to see me again.

Single mother Emily is resigned to yet another stressful holiday season alone. That is, until she meets a charismatic man playing Santa in a local bar. Their chance meeting leads to a playful and flirtatious text exchange throughout the holiday season until Santa is on her doorstep, ready to give Emily her Christmas wishes.

A spicy Christmas novella, Santa’s Coming sparkles with the perfect blend of puns and sexy holiday magic.

Book #2: Cupid’s Shot

Since when does Aaron Olson have abs like that? I haven’t seen him since high school, but now I find myself desperate to see much more of him.

Sarah Anderson's plan for the Cupid's Crush event at the local bar, High Five, is straightforward: enjoy some playful banter and score a free drink. After a decade on the West Coast, Sarah’s still adjusting to life back in her small Wisconsin hometown, surrounded by familiar faces—until one of them completely catches her off guard. Aaron Olson, the once scrawny high school wrestler, is now tending bar shirtless with fluffy angel wings strapped to his back, revealing a physique that is distracting in the best way.

What starts as light-hearted banter turns into a flirtatious game of cat and mouse, where Sarah learns that you shouldn’t judge someone by who they were in high school—because they might just surprise you in the most irresistible ways.

In this flirty and steamy Valentine’s themed novella, discover the thrill of seeing an old friend in a whole new light, and watch sparks fly as past perceptions are shattered and new attractions take hold.

(This is Book #2 in an interconnected series. It is encouraged, but not essential, to read Santa's Coming before reading Cupid's Shot.)

Book 3: Shamrock Kisses

Am I going to get lucky? Maybe if the hunky nerd I met yesterday takes me up on my invite to attend High Five's St. Paddy's Day party …

Rachel Wagner, who’s sworn off dating apps, is the last single one in her friend group. Focused on running her thriving cleaning business in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the thirty-one-year-old is caught off guard when she stumbles upon a bearded nerd while cleaning her biggest client’s lake house.

Patrick Nowak, a reclusive cat-loving hacker, prefers code to conversation and planned to spend the St. Patrick’s Day weekend out of Chicago enjoying a digital detox at his friend's lake house. But when Rachel, a confident brunette who seems way out of his league, invites him to a local bar's St. Paddy's party, his anxiety just might prevent him from taking her up on the offer.

In a game of attraction and vulnerability, neither of them is prepared for just how much their lives can change in a day.
